How to play

Every day there is one box. Each row and column is a category: a franchise, a director, a genre, a decade, a box office milestone, a nationality, a birth decade, or an award.

Tap a cell and name an actor who fits both its row and its column. You get one guess per cell, twelve in total, and a wrong guess locks that cell. Each actor can be used once.

Row Marvel, column Science Fiction: Chris Pratt appeared in Marvel films and Science Fiction movies, so he fits.

Practice mode

Not ready for today's grid? Head to Practice to play unlimited random grids with no rarity scoring. Practice grids are generated fresh each time and don't affect your stats.

Rarity

The percentages and your rarity score stay hidden until you lock in all twelve answers, or give up. Each percentage is how likely that actor was to be picked for that cell, based on how well known they are and on what other players chose today, and your rarity score is the sum over twelve cells with a miss counting 100 — so lower is rarer, and the lowest total wins.
